Toddlers love playing with toys but it’s important that they have the toys suitable for their age. For example,they don’t like playing with rattles anymore.We bought a pack of building blocks for our daughter before she turned two and back then she didn’t seem to like them. Now she is 2+ and is really into those and she has understood what she can do with it. So, I thought I would share a few gift ideas for a 2 year old toddler girl.
Baby Figure
You can never go wrong with this one,my daughter loves this toy so much and cares for it just like you would care for a actual little baby.It is very inexpensive (we bought ours at Walmart for $6) and it is the best thing we have ever bought for our daughter.You can also find them in sets with all the accessories included but it is just the figure that they really need.
Toy Cooking set
Little girls try to copy their mommy and mine gets really excited when I call her out to help in the kitchen.It helps bonding with your child and also gets them to enjoy cooking at a very early age.Cooking set helps them enact the whole mommy-toddler cooking scene while they are on their own and it is then that you will know how much she has enjoyed being mommy’s little helper.
Shopping cart or a doll stroller
Yet another way they try to copy mommy/daddy.Pushing the shopping cart with her toys all around the house is always fun.Plus it doubles as a toy baby stroller too.
Building blocks
Like I said earlier, at around two and half years of age they really understand the concept of building blocks.So this would be the best time to give them one so they get creative and start make amazing structures.This is one such activity that is not only fun to play but also helps brain development.
Playdoh
Playdoh is a toddler’s best friend.It really a fun activity that keeps them busy for a long period.This activity brings out all the imagination filled in their tiny brain.It feels so good to just watch them work with the dough and proudly present their master pieces.I usually prefer making the dough at home but sometimes I just get it out the rack.
Princess figurines
We took a trip to Disneyland after my daughter’s second birthday.It was after that trip she learned more about all the Disney princesses and other characters.She was very excited after meeting all the characters at the theme park so, we bought the Magi – Clip Disney Princess Set.The cool thing about this is that kids can easily take off the dress from one and put it on the other. This gives them opportunity to play around with all the six different options.
