What is an interactive book and why is it important to read interactive books with your child ?

Interactive books are children’s books that require participation from your child. It could be anything from lifting a flap, pop ups, pull tabs, to pull downs. It’s mainly revealing the hidden objects by performing a certain action.

We all know it is very important to read to young children. Reading develops their vocabulary and listening skills. This is another sweet book with fun face changing animals that the kids enjoy. Monkey appreciates the animals by letting them know how he loves the elephant’s trunk, etc and in the end he learns he is just as loved for his own attributes. The changing faces are a delight to watch.

This is an absolute favorite book in our house by Nosy Crow publications. I first bought this book when my daughter turned one year old. My plan was to take the help of this book to teach her words and help her start talking. This book did not disappoint. With beautiful illustrations, large sturdy construction and flaps that lift up to reveal the hidden objects, this book is definitely a keeper.
